TTGS and its Deuterated Series Crystals

Triglycine Sulfat[(NH2CH2-COOH)3H2SO4] crystal has good pyroelectric property. It exhibits strong absorbing ability in the most part of infrared region. At room temperature, its pyroelectric coefficient value is the highest. It is suitable to make speed broad band infrared pyroelectric detectors and vidicon, meanwhile, it is a proper material used for CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) laser (10.6μm) and hydrogen cyanide laser (337μm).

Deuterated Triglycine(DTGS) crystal has a Curie temperature which can be raised to 57-62℃ thus the temperature ranges of the devices made of it can also be raised. L-alanine doped deuterated triglycine sulfate(DATGS) crystal creates inherent bias field due to the doping, preventing the crystal from depolarization, and the pyroelectric property is greatly raised.

DATGSP and DATGSAs are phyophoric acid and arsenic acid doped DATGS(Lalanine doped deuterated triglycine sulfate) crystals respectively. The pyroelectric coefficient of these two crystals are evidently raised.
